- What exactly does Privara do?
- We find and remove your personal information — home address, personal phone, family member names, date of birth — from data broker sites, search results, and breach databases. We then re-scan you on a regular cadence to catch re-listings.
- How is this different from Incogni or DeleteMe?
- Two big things. First, transparency: we show you every broker we checked, every removal request we sent, and we store before/after screenshots so you can verify the work. Most services hide all that behind a vague monthly summary. Second, vertical depth: we built specifically for public-facing professionals like real estate agents, with scans of DRE license records, Realtor.com agent profiles, and brokerage office pages — places generic services skip.
- Is this legal?
- Yes. Data removal requests are a legal right under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and many states have similar laws. We file these requests on your behalf using legitimate opt-out channels — the same ones you could use yourself, just at scale and on autopilot.
- Will removing my data hurt my real estate business?
- No. We only remove personal information — home address, personal cell, family details. Your professional brand stays intact: your business listings, your website, your professional profiles, your DRE license record, and your business contact info all remain visible to clients who are looking for you.
- How long does removal take?
- Initial removal requests typically clear within 14–45 days, depending on the broker. Some are fast (a week or less); a few are stubborn and require multiple follow-ups. You'll see real-time status in your dashboard and screenshots when each removal completes.
- What if a broker re-lists me later?
- We re-scan every 14 days. If a broker re-publishes your information — and they sometimes do — we automatically re-submit the opt-out and notify you. No silent failures.
- Do I have to give you my real personal information?
- Yes — to remove your data from broker sites, the brokers need to be able to identify you in their database. We treat your information with the same care we ask of brokers: encrypted at rest, access-controlled, never sold, never used outside the removal workflow.
- Are you only for real estate agents?
- We launched with California real estate agents because that's the founder's market. Our core scan and removal works for any public-facing professional — insurance agents, mortgage brokers, attorneys, financial advisors, therapists. Vertical-specific modules for those professions are on the roadmap.
- Why does Privara ask for an email instead of a credit card?
- We're onboarding the first cohort right now. Joining the waitlist with your email locks in founding-member pricing and gets you a free initial scan. We'll only charge you when you decide to start active removal.
